ROOT WORD - "Komizo" - Strong's Number 2865

John 3:16 begins with the words, “For God so loved the world.” The transliterated meaning behind this verse is that God deeply sought to love, save, and to eternally take care of each member of humanity. He sought to protect them and care for them in this relationship. Yet mankind was alienated from God because of the hollow and fleeting treasures of earthly goods and endowments. The Bible says that God chose us, we did not choose Him (John 15:16). God sent His Precious Son so that through Him, we might be divinely reunited. When Jesus died on the Cross, the debt of sin was forever paid. Jesus’ blood eternally voided and repaid our sinful debt. Once this debt was paid in full, we were purchased “back” by God for the sole purpose of personal relationship.
